This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette is finished in black over matching vinyl and powered by a numbers-matching 327ci V8 paired with a Borg Warner T-10 four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a white convertible top, an aluminum radiator, and a Wonder Bar AM radio. The car reportedly underwent a body-off refurbishment in the late 1990s during previous ownership, and it subsequently received multiple Top Flight awards from the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS). This C1 Corvette is now offered in Connecticut on behalf of its current owner of five years with NCRS correspondence, the aforementioned Top Flight awards and additional recognition, service records, a 2015 inspection report, refurbishment photos, a spare set of tires, factory jacking equipment, and a clean Ohio title.

Styling for this late-production C1 includes the twin paired and exposed headlights of earlier models in conjunction with the quad round taillights and creased rear fenders that carried over to the C2. This example’s fiberglass body was removed from the frame and repainted in the current black finish during the refurbishment according to the seller. Additional details include split bumpers, color-matched fender coves, and cast rocker-panel accents.

The interior features bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl with matching door panel treatments and carpeting. Factory instrumentation has been retained along with an analog clock and Wonder Bar AM radio.
The body-colored instrument cluster houses a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, amperage, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer currently shows just over 76k miles.
The 327ci V8 was rated at 300 horsepower from the factory, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The car is equipped with an aluminum radiator, and an oil service was completed in November 2020 according to the seller.
